From the intersection with Smith Rock Way in Terrebonne, travel generally N on US97 for about 0.6 miles. Turn left on Lower Bridge Road and continue roughly 4.8 miles to the corner on the right.

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The section corner, and orange Carsonite witness post, is about 50 feet N of the road centerline. In 2004, W.C. Kaufman established two bearing trees, each marked with a yellow tag and with a nail and brass washer stamped COUNTY SURVEYOR; additionally he set two 1-1/2 inch aluminum reference caps, roughly WNW and SSW of the corner, each about 10 feet distant.

The section corner was set in 1973 during the Crooked River Ranch No. 5 survey over T14S R12E SECS 2 3 11. The Deschutes County Surveyors Office survey number is CS06488.
