Fine Bronze statue. Very large and massive, I would guess over 20 feet in total height (Statue + base). Very nicely done, and in good condition. President Juarez found asylum in New Orleans in 1853-1854 and 1858. It was dedicated in 1972, although it was installed in 1965. Has inscriptions and dedications in both English and Spanish. Easy to find, really stands out. He is shown standing, his proper left hand resting on a stack of books atop a draped pedestal. Juarez wears a cut-away coat with high collared shirt and bow tie
