This lookout, at the top of the Peace River Valley on Highway 744 has views up and down the valley. It is located soth of the Town of Peace River, Alberta.

Sagitawa is a Cree word that means where the rivers meet. It is at this location that you can get a great view of the confluence of the Peace and Smoky rivers.
The land for the lookout was donated (sold for a dollar) as a centennial gift by the Plaizier family in 1967. The lookout is located at the top of Judah Hill on Highway 744.
The Plaizier family was concerned about the state of the park about five years ago (2005) and as a result the town put a side funds for the clean up and refurbishment that was done by town employees during off time. The result is fantastic and the park is now accessible to handicap persons who can now enjoy the view as well.
