This church was built in 1836 to a design by William Mason of Ipswich and later New Zealand, it is a fine building of the Norman Revival type.

The PA bolt and cut-mark are to be found to the right of the west door between the second and third pillars out from the door. It is 0.5m above the ground and was last levelled and verified in 1962 as being 16.1849m above Newlyn Datum.
