Sadly, this stately and comely old disk won’t be here for long. This bridge is due to be replaced by the end of 2012.

This disk is in the top of the curb at the northeast end of Scoggins Creek bridge (Washington County Bridge #1404) on Old Highway 47; 0.2 miles south of Old Highway 47’s intersection with Scoggins Valley Road. The disk is 11.2 feet east-northeast from the painted centerline of Old Highway 47 and 20.5 feet south from the center of Verizon pole VZ250283.

There is a gaging scale below the mark on the same corner of the bridge. I believe this to be USGS gaging station # 14203000.
