The Saddleback Visitors at the Colorado National Monument features a small historic and scientific museum that provides a thorough explanation and history of the geologic development, environmental features (including plants and animals), the cultural history beginning with the early American Indians, then the development of the area as a protected visitor attraction with the help of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) until its designation as a National Park. The museum has many interactive features including videos and hands-on activities.
The museum has ample parking, restrooms, picnic areas, gift shop. It is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, every day except December 25th.
