A surprise find. This small, red museum is adjacent to the Makkasan railway station. Unfortunately, it was not open at the time of my visit. Information gleaned from exterior signs and various online sources. Principally: (

The building formerly was a station of the railway police, then the railway labour union office, before being converted to a museum on 17 October 1993. The museum covers the three century long history of the Thai labour movement from the days of slavery and serfdom to the present. The building is also used as a meeting hall. The museum was created at the instigation of several labour leaders and NGOs.
It may be that the museum will be demolished to make way for a (imo unneeded airport – city link building).
Entry is free, open only Wednesday to Sunday.
