This popular logo is found on many Gunflint Trail souveniers including T-shirts and coffee mugs. It is not surprising to find it on Grand Marais’ water tower as well. The Gunflint Trail is a scenic country road leading 50 miles from Grand Marais to dozens of vacation resorts, camps, campgrounds, and entry points for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The water tower is located at the beginning of the trail, high above Grand Marais.
