This is a two-story building, with a partially exposed basement. It is constructed of dark brown brick with white wood trim. The main entrance facing W. Oklahoma Avenue has a wide 11-step concrete stairway leading up to a porch and double entrance doors. Two wide pillars on the porch support the gable pediment above.
The windows are stained glass. Above the main entrance doors a narrow glass panel shows "FIRST METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH". The church was built in 1917.
This is an active Methodist Church with Sunday morning services at 10:50 and Sunday School at 9:45. The youth meet on Sunday evening at 6:00. They have a Facebook page for church announcements and comments.
