Memory Lane Cemetery is located south of Anadarko on S. Mission Street (S.W. 6th Street), east of the municipal airport. In 1902, the Dept. of Interior gave the City of Anadarko 40 acres of land to build this cemetery. It currently has approximately 8700 internments. It is open from 7:00AM until dark.
The cemetery is primarily flat, with small trees and evergreens scattered throughout. It is well maintained. There are several areas in the cemetery dedicated to military burials. This is a beautiful area, with paved roads throughout. The entrance has brick pillars with bronze plaques showing MEMORY LANE. The road-side of the cemetery is surrounded by wrought iron fencing.
