The sign is severely weathered and double painted making much of it unreadable. As of 2011 we could make out 5 cent cigars and above that the name of the business, W.M. Shafor & Co. (Shafor Company was a wholesale grocer - W.M. Shafor was also postmaster of Sedalia IN)
