I wasn’t looking for this, I was scoping the church for a possible Waymark (or two).

But who would turn down the chance of waymarking one of these?

On closer inspection it is rather rusty but it’s been around for 100+ years so what would you expect?

All in all a very nice example and a surprise!
Tell us about the area the post box is situated.:
The leafy suburbs of Putney, officially Wandsworth. Close to the High Street but far enough away to be pleasant. A lovely Polish RC Church is next to the box and has an interesting history.


Condition of the box: Good/Average/Poor: Average

Is this post box still in use?: Mon-Fri 17:00, Sat 12:00

Is VR embossed on the post box or is it an "anonymous" box?: VR
