Mestská zvonice byla postavena kolem roku 1500 v pozdne gotickém slohu. Dodnes jsou prvky pozdní gotiky patrné v prízemní cásti veže.

Nekolikrát se dockala prestavby a nekolikrát také vyhorela. Poslední úprava probehla v roce 1909, a to po velkém a nicivém požáru z roku 1904, který zachvátil celé námestí.

Zvon zavešený ve zvonici se jménem Maria Hilf byl ulit v roce 1419. Jde o jeden z nejstarších zvonu v Ceské republice. V roce 2010 se dockal tento pul tunový velikán opravy a namísto elektrického mechanismu ho opet rozhoupávají zvoníci.

Puvodne byly ve zvonici zvony ctyri, ale behem války byly tri z nich pretaveny na kanony.

Prístup do zvonice je možný po dohode v turistickém informacním stredisku ci volne behem Dnu evropského dedictví.

Bell tower was build around 1500 in Late Ghotic style. Till now man can see elements of this style.

The belfry was reconstructed in 1866, after a fire in 1861 destroyed the roof, the dome and a major part of the Baroque decoration. The last remains of Baroque paintings on the front, probably of immense value, were removed in a 1909-adaptation.

In the bell tower there is one of the oldest bell in the Czech Republic – Maria Hilf. It was made in 1419 and its weight is around 500 kg. It was repaired in 2010.
