The tree has been planted about 200 years ago next to the former mill (there are just remains of it visible now).
In 1994 and 2006 a pruning has been performed to remove dead branches and to do overall clean up.
Next to the tree there is an information board with text in Czech, German and English. The height (31m) and girth (3.87m) are also listed there.
