One of only three memorials to the Boer War in Wales, this impressive memorial cross is prominently sited on Twthill Bach, overlooking the town.
At the base of the memorial is a dedication plaque together with the names of those men who lost their lives fighting.
The memorial looks impressive when seen from the town below, but its location makes it difficult to reach. There have been calls for the memorial to be moved into the town to improve access and to reduce the level of vandalism.
