These cowboys and their horses stand at the east edge of Dodge City and welcome visitors to this legendary wild frontier town of the Old West. The name Dodge City and a steer head are mounted into the side of the statue's rock base. These cowboys and horses aren't the only greeting you'll receive as you enter Dodge City. The welcome sign is located opposite a cattle feedlot, so you'll also be greeted by a horrid urine and manure stench. It's a great photo op, but you definitely won't want to hang out here for too long.
