Sitting on the eastern edge of a series of spectacular cliffs, Bondcliff is the most remote 4,000 foot peak in New Hampshire. Reached from the north (via the Twinway trail) or from the south (Lincoln Woods Trail) along the Bondcliff Trail, this peak is unrivaled in New Hampshire for its views and long, rugged approach.
Located in the heart of the remote Pemigewasset Wilderness, Bondcliff is nine miles by trail from the nearest road. While it is possible to summit Bondcliff in a single day, most hikers stay choose to tent in, or stay at one of several AMC huts located half a day's hike away to the north.
Due to its rugged approach and remote and exposed location, hikers should be adequately prepared before attempting the rewarding, yet challenging hike to the summit of Bondcliff.
Bondcliff is the 30th highest peak on the list of the Appalachian Mountain Club's New Hampshire four thousand footers.
