To reach Alex Cemetery, take Highway 19 southeast out of Alex about 1.5 miles, then south on Cemetery Road .25 mile. This is slightly rolling prairie land, with few trees.
This tree stump headstone is darker in color than most, and has squared edges. The seal has the standard Woodmen of the World writing, with a tree stump shown in the center. The marker stands on two horizontal logs with leaves and flowers engraved. The dark, polished shield is very readable, and states:
