The Matthews House was built in 1928 by the Justin Matthews Company as a show house in the Park Hill subdivision. The house remained open to public viewing from 1928 to 1932. The house was designed by the company's architect, Frank Carmean in the "modernistic" house by combining elements of the International and Art Deco styles. The house is in good condition and it continues to serve as a single family home.
