Valdez fire station was established in 1901. It is a state of the art and well equipped fire station with lots of responsibility. They not only protect the town of Valdez (pop 4600) but also a very critical US asset the Alyeska Marine Terminal which is where the 800+ mile Trans-Alaska Pipeline comes to.
