The school was completed in 1878 by the architect - Clutton. He also re-built the church in the village. Both buildings are in the same style with the school constructed of ironstone. It is built in the Tudor style and next-door lies the School House with its timber frame also in this style. It closed in 1984 when attendance dropped to only 5 pupils.
