The fountain has a bronze figure of a nude boy riding a turkey. The boy holds a vessel in both hand which water pours from. The bronze figures are in front of a pink granite back drop. At the opposite end of the fountain basin are two bronze frogs and water sprays from their mouths. On the back side of the granite back drop is a bronze plaque with a relief of Nels O. Nelson and text honoring him. The inscription is:
