In addition to the city offices the Idaho Falls City Building also houses a 4-bay firehouse on the Shoup Avenue side of the building. The city hall building for Idaho Falls was constructed during 1929-30. The building was placed on the National Register on Aug. 30, 1984.
The Idaho Falls Fire Department has five stations with a total staff of about 100 serving about 85,000 people occupying about 250 square miles. This is Station 1.
