From the sign at the bell:

In 1912 Elmer Bertha Bailey with sons Frank, Butler, Russell and Lawrence moved from Sheffield, Iowa to a farm at Donalda. Every day the dinner bell rang and was heard not only by the Baileys but also neighbours like the Knudtsons and Jacobsons. The bell was sold to Palmer Hagen, who later donated it to The Donalda and District Museum.
