Chase S. Osborn is described here as Naturalist, "Iron Hunter", Author, World Citizen, Friend of the Indian, Governor of Michigan. Marks his birthplace. The other side, shown below, describes his parents, George and Margaret Osborn. They were both medical doctors, George practicing in Ohio prior to 1850, and Margaret starting her medical practice near this marker in 1860. There is a parking lot here for a business. It is at the SE corner SR 124 & SR 105, west of Mt. Etna.
