Grant County is not the biggest county in Indiana by any means but they still put on a good fair. They have plenty to offer beyond the 4H animals and projects--not that those aren't great too.
There are carnival rides, tons of food vendors, nationally known musical artists, derbys, all sorts of things to make it an event for everyone.
When we visited in 2011 we had some terrific BBQ and got to see Jessie Brown. She was great and so was the BBQ!
The event calender can be a little hard to find each year. Try looking under the Purdue Extension Services web pages for county fairs. This will usually have a link to a PDF file of the year's schedule.
