In keeping with the railroad theme in Valley Junction, this welcoming free standing arch is constructed of steel girders, much like you would find on a railroad trestle bridge. Each base is made of brick to anchor the structure over 5th Street. This area was once on a busy railroad line; the nearby depot now houses one of the numerous antique shops in this little village, and a Burlington Route caboose is on display across the street.
