This cut-mark was last verified in 1967 at 1.2m above ground level. It is 118.48m above Ordnance Datum. It's on the west face of the south aisle of this large village church.

The church is of Saxon (mid C10-C11) origins with C13th and C14th work. The tower was repaired c.1718, and the spire rebuilt in 1807. The chancel was again rebuilt in 1891 by E.F. Law when the whole church was restored. The spire was again rebuilt in 1957. It is of coursed squared ironstone with limestone dressings with plain-tile roofs except to the aisles, which are of lead.
