Lord Edgefield has been charged with corruption, but witnesses suddenly change their testimony, causing the case to collapse. Steed and Tara investigate the case. Tara makes the connection between the changed testimony and milk that has been drugged. Apparently the milk causes people to say the opposite of what they are thinking, thus the witnesses say innocent instead of guilty. Tara follows a milk float back to the dairy, but unfortunately she ingests some of the milk. She desperately tries to warn Steed by phone, but she keeps saying the opposite of what she means. Steed eventually catches on and he traces the dairy.
The clips for this waymark is where Tara tries to ring Steed from a phone box. The location for this shot is the junction between Harris Lane and Rectory Lane in Shenley. This junction and the directly adjacent Mimms Lane/ Harris Lane junction seem to have been favourites of 1960s films, having been used in several car chase scenes. The phone box is a film prop.
