This zinc headstone was erected in 1900.
On one side, over the name BRIGGS, the plate is adorned with an anchor and has the following:

Stetson,
July 1809 - April 1860.
LOST AT SEA.
Cynthia Maxfield,
His Wife,
May 1817 -
Clara F. Burgess,
Dec. 1871, Oct. 1891.

On a second side of the 'stone', over the name BRIGGS again, are the first names of four people under the heading 'Children' followed by dates and dashes, as if the date of birth is recorded but the date of death has yet to be added, except for one child:
CHILDREN
CAROLINE P.,
JUNE 1850 -
THOMAS N.,
FEBRUARY 1853 -
FREDERICK A.,
DECEMBER 1856 - 1937
LIVONIA C.,
MAY 1859
Frederick's date of death appears to have been added afterwards, by welding or braising. It hasn't lasted very well.

The other two sides of the headstone have the name Smith on the pediment. Daniel A, his wife Livonia May 1859 are on one plaque. This would seem to be the Livonia C. Briggs on the other plaque:
DANIEL A.
SEPTEMBER 1836.
LIVONIA C.,
HIS WIFE,
MAY 1859

On the fourth side over the name Smith is a plaque that reads 'Children' and lists three names with three dates:
CHILDREN.
CYNTHIA M.,
MARCH 1892.
IDA M.,
JULY 1894.
STEPHEN C.,
JANUARY 1897

Date of birth (optional): 07/01/1809

Date of death (optional): 04/01/1860
