This 1859 bust of Giacomo Cardnial Antonelli is located in the Art Insitute of Chicago (coordinates are for the Institutes' Michigan Avenue entrance.)
Photography of permanent exhibits is permitted in the Museum.
The artist is Auguste-Jean-Baptiste Clesinger.
Antonelli served as the Vatican's Secretary of State and played a key role resisting the unification of Italy. When he died, it was discovered that the Vatican's finances were a mess...but his personal fortune was formidable. Read more about him at (visit link)
