Fair food, demo derbies, parades, talent contests, and a midway. Who could ask for anything more? This is the big one for North Webster but its a small town festival and that has some good points. You can find a place to park, no lines for food and the talent contests provide "entertainment" on many levels. The parade,though,is pretty long. Its better than what you might expect for a small little town. As a mater of fact its darn good!
To find out the exact dates dates for any given year just google "mermaid festival indiana" and look for a site that has the local Lions Club mentioned and you will be on your way to the details. Ive been going for years and years now so it's no fly by night event. Typically it's held the third week in June, but check the web to be certain! Count on having some fun...join us in June! :)

Hosted by the North Webster Lions Club. The clubs largest fund raiser of the year.Takes place in June. The festival operated the last full week of the month. The primary attractions of the festival are the Cutie King & Queen Pageant, the Cutie parade, and the Mermaid Parade itself. Aside from the carnival coming to town, a Festival parade takes place Saturday at 4 pm to celebrate the end of the festival. Later at night fireworks are set off to officially announce the end of the festival.
