Gann Valley is a small community nestled among the rolling plains of central
South Dakota. Agriculture, in particular the raising of livestock and dry land
farming, is the basic industry of the area.
Public hunting areas and an ample supply of locally-owned lodges provide residents and visitors alike with excellent hunting opportunities.
The Missouri River is located within 15 minutes of Gann Valley. Anglers go after walleye, northern pike, crappie, bass, perch, bluegills, catfish and bullheads. Lake recreational areas feature camping, picnicking, swimming, boating, and water-skiing.
The post home is located on Dakota Avenue. The pictures are of the actual building that is owned by the American Legion.
