Ceský popis

Hrad Rabí, ležící na vápencovém kopci nad stejnojmennou obcí, je svou rozlohou nejvetší zríceninou na území Cech. Zdivo hradeb a budov je v celkové délce témer trí kilometru. Jádro hradu vzniklo patrne na pocátku 13. století ve forme strážní, obytné veže. Hrad byl postaven na príhodném míste. Predpokládá se, že jeho úkolem bylo chránit obchodní cestu spojující mesta Sušice a Horaždovice a také znacne bohatá rýžovište zlata podél reky Otavy.

Studna - Na prvním nádvorí se nachází ve skále tesaná hradní studna. Patrí mezi nejhlubší, které je možné na ceských hradech spatrit.

Hradní sklepení - v hradu se nachází rozsáhlé sklepní prostory v nekolika úrovních. Nejspodnejší cást sklepení byla do vápencového podloží vytesána rucne a dosahuje hloubky 9 metru pod povrchem.

Kostel Nejsvetejší Trojice - soucástí hradního areálu je i pozdne gotický kostel Nejsvetejší Trojice, který byl soucástí hradního opevnení. Poslední úpravy jsou z pocátku 20. století, kdy byl interiér kostela secesne vyzdoben. V lonském roce byl nalezen na fasáde kostela cesky psaný nápis z roku 1684, který hovorí o úpravách kostela z tohoto období. (více v sekci Nabízíme -Kostel Nejsvetejší Trojice).

English description

Rabi Castle, situated on a limestone hill of the same name, its size is the largest ruin in Bohemia. Masonry walls and buildings with a total length of almost three kilometers. The core of the castle was probably founded in the early 13th century in the form of a guard, a residential tower. The castle was built in a convenient location. It is assumed that his job was to protect the trade route linking the city Sušice and Horaždovice and also very rich placer gold along the river Otava.

Castle well - the first courtyard is located in the rock sections cut timber castle well. Among the deepest that can be seen at Czech castles.

Castle cellars - the castle is an extensive basement rooms on several levels. The bottom part of the cellar was carved into the limestone bedrock by hand and reaches a depth of 9 m below the surface.

Holy Trinity Church - part of the castle is a late Gothic church of the Holy Trinity, which was part of the fortifications. Recent modifications are from the early 20th century when the church interior was decorated with Art Nouveau.
