This utility box is painted on three sides with underwater scenes. The large street facing side features a humpback whale and a starfish. The left side has a starfish with a open-mouthed face and the right side has front views of several fish that might be from Finding Nemo along with a child's face wearing some orthodontic gear. The Santa Cruz Sentinel Santa Cruz Sentinel published a story about Bruce Harman winning a competition held by the Capitola Arts and Cultural Commission, to paint eight utility boxes around the town with aquarium-like images. This utility box is on the SW corner of Brommer Street and 41st Avenue. (There's currently some sidewalk renovation going on around the box). The artist's website, harmanstudio.com, is painted into the scene in the lower right on the right side.
