This is a small but well proportioned memorial placed on the east wall of the south aisle of St.Mary's church. It is made of white marble for the dedication and name section, and pink marble for the frame. The name plaque is made up of 24 small slices of marble surrounded by a gold edging, then another larger edging of 24 slivers of marble. The names are inscibed into the marble and coloured black.
The memorial is alongside a similar memorial to the fallen of WWII and beneath a memorial to Thomas and Dorothy Spencer placed here in 1606.

The window is of four lights and depicts, from left to right, Saint Stephen (the first Christian martyr), Saint Gabriel (Angel of Mercy), Saint Michael (Angel of Judgment), and Saint Alban (the first British Christian martyr).
Above each of the figures are the motifs; Fons æturum (fountain of eternity), Turris David (tower/city of David), Hortus conclusus (enclosed garden), Porta Clausa (the closed door of the temple). All these refer to the Virgin Mary and her giving of protection to all who seek refuge against temptation and danger.
