An intelligence agent is being trailed by the opposition and decides to hide the despatch he’s carrying in the treasure box of a car rally that is being held by Sir George Benstead. The agent is killed but manages to send to Steed an invite to the car rally before he dies. Steed and Mrs Peel take part in the rally as do opposition agents. A large amount of skulduggery occurs on the rally before Steed and Emma finally secure the treasure.
The second clue on the treasure hunt is hidden on the tailgate of a removal lorry, parked in a nearby village. The village is in reality Aldbury. There are film clips across the pond looking at Mrs Peel getting out of a car and running to the removal lorry. There is also a clip of her car arriving at Aldbury before circuiting the pond and stopping before the removal lorry.
