~ paraphrased from A history of Treherne and surrounding district. ~
The Bethel Methodist Church was built here in 1891 with the last services being held at Bethel in 1924.
In 1897, land was purchased from Mr. Alex McNeill who had donated land for the church. The first person buried here was Mrs. Levi Darling on Sep. 20, 1897.
There was a lady related to the Henselwood family who died in 1882 and was buried on the family farm. She was moved to the Bethel Cemetery and reburied but she was not the first.

There is some online information from CanadaGenWeb's Cemetery Project , available here: Treherne Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery. They list the first burial (in error) as 1882).
There are hundreds of graves here.
