The Pattani city clock is located on a busy traffic roundabout towards the north of the city centre. The clock is ~10m high, white in colour, with a small fountain at the base. There are four plaques on each of the four sides of the tower, with Thai script. The seals of the plaques suggest that the local Lions and the provincial admin both assisted with the creation of the clock.

ADVISORY: For the last few years and decades there has been an ongoing insurgency in the provinces of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat ('deep south' of Thailand). An average of 600 people have been killed per year between 2004-9. The Australian government strongly urges its citizens not to visit these provinces "do not travel". Having said all of this there is no blood on the streets, and life goes on normally for the vast majority of people. You have been advised.
