This marker is along Hwy 101 near the mouth of the Columbia River, across from Astoria, OR.
"We are now at the end of our voyage..." (sergeant Patrick Gass, Nov. 16 1805). Here the expedition desided were they would make winter camp, before heading home in the spring.
