Dean Incent's House. this is no 15 On the Berkhamstead Historical Walk The building Dates from 1500, this is the home of John Incent, Dean of St. Paul's cathedral (1540–1545) and founder of Berkhamsted School in 1541.

John Incent (c. 1480 – 1545) was Dean of St Paul's Cathedral between 1540 and 1545, and the founder of Berkhamsted Collegiate School.

Incent studied at the University of Cambridge and later at All Souls College, Oxford.
He is noted for being one of the agents of the Lord Chancellor Thomas Cromwell responsible for the sequestration of religious properties during the Dissolution of the Monasteries.

His home in Berkhamsted, built in 1500, remains in use to the present day, situated on the High Street facing St Peter's Church
The house is up for sale at present priced £800.000
