In 2010, the Tomah Police Department responded to approximately 20,460 calls for service and approximately 21,816 calls for service in 2009.
The Department is equipped with four marked squad cars (Ford Crown Victoria's), one marked Police Tahoe (K-9 vehicle), one un-marked sport utility vehicle (Supervisor's vehicle), three un-marked squads (Chief's take-home car, Investigator car and a Training car), a Tactical unit van, and two mountain bikes. Each patrol vehicle is equipped with a variety of equipment including a shotgun, patrol rifle, water rescue devices, and radar. In addition, several vehicles are equipped with road spikes.
The Department is staffed by a Chief of Police, two Lieutenants (one is in charge of Operations and one is in charge of Support Services), five Sergeants who act as shift supervisors, ten Patrol Officers, one School Resource Officer, one Investigator, and a clerical staff of four. The Police Department's Office is open Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM (except holidays).

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
