This arched railroad bridge crosses the Raccoon River a few miles west of Jefferson. A gravel road parallels the waterway allowing vehicles to pass through the picturesque arch. Back in horse and buggy days it was known as the “courting bridge” where dating couples would gather.

It is an active railroad line, and there is a pullover for safe viewing at the listed coordinates.
