Phra Pathom Chedi is the largest chedi (repository of Buddhist relics) in Thailand. It is located in the capital city of the Nakhon Pathom province, which itself lies ~50kms to the west of the sprawling metropolis of Bangkok. The Chedi is an impressive sight.

There are a lot of bells inside the Chedi grounds. The largest group are a line of small bell housings running along the Chedi exterior, and there are other bells, larger and smaller, scattered around the grounds. As with most Buddhist bells in Thailand, the bells are present to be rung by visitors. A small donation is always appreciated.

The waymark is the largest bell at the Chedi (default image). This bell lies on the eastern side of the Chedi, easily spotted next to a smaller chedi.
