I had heard many derisive comments about this boat ramp so came out to have a look. A very unusual, truly massive semi circle design with the actual ramp near the apex. There are two lanes on the ramp but they are divided in the middle by stout rubber poles, something which causes much angst.

The ramp leads into deep water & there are no holding facilities once the boat is launched. The ramp can't be used by boaties who fish alone. It faces west & is affected by prevailing winds. It is no good in any swell due to its open nature. It couldn't be used today as a stout westerly was blowing. It is not suitable for use between sunset & sunrise.

The ramp services the Tasman Sea (Pacific Ocean). There are no fees for its use.

The sign says it all.
