Foi inaugurada pelo bispo do Porto, a 9 de Julho de 1893.
É uma construção rectangular de uma só nave, de arquitectura religiosa neoclássica, completada por:
- UMA TORRE SINEIRA, quadrada, que se sobrepõe à nave.
- E DOIS CORPOS LATERAIS ALONGADOS.
- A FACHADA PRINCIPAL, revestida a azulejos azuis e brancos, cujo autor foi Jorge Colaço, é dividida em (3) corpos :
- (2) LATERAIS, simétricos, que nos mostram duas janelas em arco entre as quais se destacam painéis de azulejo com as imagens de São José e Nossa Senhora da Boa Hora.
- E O CENTRAL, ligeiramente mais avançado, com portal encimado por frontão em arco abatido, sobreposto por um pequeno óculo redondo e finalizado por um outro frontão no qual se destaca o monograma AM e que se admite serem as iniciais de António Magalhães, o Ilustre benemérito a quem pertenciam os terrenos gratuitamente doados para a construção do templo.

It was inaugurated by the bishop of Porto, July 9, 1893.
It is a rectangular building with a single nave, religious neoclassical architecture, supplemented by:
- a bell tower, square, which overlaps the ship.
- SIDE AND TWO ELONGATED BODIES.
- The main facade, clad in blue and white tiles, whose author was Jorge Colaço, is divided into (3) bodies:
- (2) SIDE, symmetrical, showing us two arched windows which stand between the tile panels with images of St. Joseph and Our Lady of Good Time.
- AND THE CENTRAL, slightly more advanced, with a portal surmounted by pediment arch superimposed by a small round door and gable ends with another which emphasizes the monogram AM and that was supposed to be the initial Antonio Magalhaes, the Honourable meritorious who owned the land donated for free to build the temple.
