The area was settled by Hungarians in the late 1800's/earily 1900's. Origannially named Arpádhon. The Hungarian Settlement, around this area in Louisiana claims to be the largest rural Hungarian Settlement in the United States today. Hence, the Hungarian text on alot of the grave markers. The church building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The St. Margaret Cemetery has probabally 700 burials. It is located in Springfield, Livingston Parish, Louisiana, USA.
