THE SUNDIAL

The sun has been used as a time keeper for thousands of years. The time shown on the sundial and the actual time can be as much as 1 hour and 16 minutes different. The one hour difference is due to Day Light Savings Time. The 16 minutes represents the distance that we are from the 75th meridian, the beginning of our time zone. On April 16th, June 14th, September 2nd and December 26th the sun dial should show the same time as your watch.
