What more appropriate quilt block for a schoolhouse than the “Schoolhouse.” Its host is a one room school, Kendrick Town School #5 that operated until the 1950’s. (Note the #5 over the door in the quilt!) It is controlled by a Board of Trustees and used to be used as a voting place. It can be found on the west side of D Avenue (N-65) and is listed as #12 on the Greene County Barn Quilt map.
Your Visit:
My husband’s cousin is the chairperson for the Greene County Barn Quilts, and it was a special thrill to have our own personal guided tour. Her special stories added a lot to our enjoyment of these barn quilts.

Type of Barn: Not Sure.

Visit Instructions:
Please include one picture of the barn with the quilt.
