This “LeMoyne Star” is a very special barn quilt. Not only is it on the old historic Lincoln Highway, but it was also belongs to my husband’s cousin who is the chairperson for the Greene County Barn Quilts. Because their driveway is so long, they chose to create a 12’ x 12’ quilt so it could be easily seen from the road. The barn dates back to the early 1900’s. There is also a smaller block on one of the small out-buildings that is identical to the large one. The farm is located on the north side of 240th Street (E-53) a few miles east of Scranton. This is also a Century Farm.
Your Visit: My husband’s cousin is the chairperson for the Greene County Barn Quilts and it was a special thrill to have our own personal guided tour. Her special stories added a lot to our enjoyment of these barn quilts.
Type of Barn: Barn still in use
